Summary:

Kurosaki Ichigo is an old boy, has the unusual ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because this he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers half her power to Ichigo. Ichigo unintentionally absorbs almost all her powers instead. After the transfer, comes 2 Others Shinigamis and define that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami power to human.

Rukia has transferred her self into a gigai, an human body, while waiting to recover her abilities. In the meantime, Ichigo must take over fer job s Soul Repear, battling hollows and guiding lost souls to Soul Society.
